In 2019 my husband Charlie and I purchased our 186 farm which is nestled on a rural backroad in northern Highland County, with no intention of becoming a wedding venue, but God sure had different plans.   The husband was elated to fulfill a life long dream of owning a large crop farm.  We both fell in love with the history, charm and sheer beauty of the land, barn and house.  An unexpected series of events (a small family wedding we hosted & my retirement from 31 years in education) inspired us to take the leap.  Since the decision to move forward as a venue we have transformed our 1800's barn and grounds into a rustic fairy tale.  We continue to make massive improvements each year during the off-season.  

In 2021 we added an entire addition to the barn which houses the prep kitchen, all new handicap accessible restrooms and a large vaulted ceiling open area for indoor weddings, business meetings and smaller events.  We have the ability to rent out the new area only or the entire complex.  The new area is fully equipped with a projector, screen and sound system.  The sound system also carries over into the original barn.  

In 2023 we added a completely unique grain gazebo entrance to the original barn.  Included in the entrance are new gorgeous and grand 8' glass doors and sidelights which allow for viewing of the 2.2 acre pristine lake with fountain and wedding dock.  This year (2024) we constructed a unique covered porch made from the timber, trusses and beams of a local iconic barn that was recently taken down.  The outdoor facilities offer three different areas to congregate with rustic hanging lights and outdoor firepits and seating.  

Unlike any other venue we are aware of, we offer a massive collection of wedding arbors/arches, antique church pews, whiskey barrels, centerpieces, greenery wall, donut wall and really too many things to list - at no extra cost.  We even offer a pretty little rowboat for pics on the water and a fan favorite red 82 year old truck!  Your pictures can be taken anywhere on our farm.  Lastly, for the animal lovers - well, we raise and sell miniature donkeys.  We have foals at all times of the year and they are a hit with wedding guests and are available for pics with the bride and groom and your guests!  They even enjoy coming in the barn if invited!
